PureDarwin 2.2

Postby van » Mon Oct 09, 2017 7:38 am

Hello there!

Since there weren't any news about 2.2 for a long time: Are there still plans/ efforts to release 2.2 one day or is 2.2 dead (for the public)?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Van

hey van,

thanks for the interest to our project!
Yes we still work on a 2.2 release but we need some more time atm
we have many things todo and we plan to publish a roadmap soon
and in 2018 you will see a lot of new stuff from us!

all the best

Thanks for the good news. I was already afraid your efforts for 2.2 had been ended.

That's totally fine. I'll be patient.

I can only speak for myself: Maybe don't do too much new stuff at once and focus on less first. Of course it would be nice to have PureDarwin versions of legacy xnu, current xnu, and ARM versions as well - but it might be better to focus for the moment on one of them only until this works out and your project receives more attention (resulting in hopefully more support). Even if this might mean an end for my favourite target (I guess there are more people interested in newer xnu versions), I would assume it might be better for the project in the long run; jm2c
